Cold Hearted Lovers

July 28, 2015 by Jim Desiderati

We’re given a life, its the ultimate high.
Complete with our senses, to wonder just why
With all of these pleasures we still feel the pain,
Of Cold Hearted Lovers that drive us insane.

We’re given a body to work with our minds,
and help feel the beauty love brings sometimes.
Could only we use them to love when we need.
Instead we abuse them in hopes to be freed.

From Cold-hearted Lovers, emotions so crude
those Cold-hearted Lovers, heartless and rude.

So pretend that the life you’re living is new.
Forget all the loneliness deep inside you.
Remeber the feelings of finding new love.
Peel off the past, like a dirty white glove.

Don’t ever settle for less than you want,
Strive for the best and come out up front.
One thing is certain as cruel as life seems.
A broken heart mends if you follow your dreams.

So watch those Cold-hearted lovers, emotions so crude.
Cold-hearted lovers, heartless and rude.
They say that they love you, and love you they do.
To them loves a word, but your dreams may come true.

Cold-hearted lovers, emotions so crude.
Cold-hearted lovers, restless and lewd
They say that they love you, and love you they do.
Cold-hearted lovers, I think I’m one too!
