Last Gentle Touch

Before I can go there is just one more thing. The love that you’ve shown means everything Its there in their eyes behind all the tears, Full of sweet memories of all of your years.

If ever I see you in some other place, Remember the beauty that’s here on your face. His lingering kiss with those last hushed goodbyes As he caressed your face slowly and brushed close your eyes.

Remember the promise to never forget To carry your courage the older we get. Your children will know you as loving and fun With the warmth of your heart like the heat of the sun.

You’ll guide and inspire the rest of their lives, As they too make wonderful husbands and wives. Before I can go, I love you so much. Thanks for the honor of your last gentle touch.
